“Be Still & Know That I am God ” Series 2 of 5

“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 45:11 | 2 of 5 

These precious words from Holy Scripture are close to my heart. When life gets overwhelming, you know in the depths of your heart, He holds you, He is holding you and He alone will continue to hold you! The Lord gives us the strength to stand up; we don’t stand up by our strength, but by His!

Sometimes, we are tossed in life. In those moment, a visit to the sea or lifting your head up to the skies is a powerful reminder of the fact that we just have to be “still” and know God is the “Master”. During the summer, experienced it and  poured out those sentiments into 5 paintings, centred on this theme, a blend of the sea and the galaxies. 

Hand-painted with love and prayer, the background of these paintings feature a fluid abstract depiction of the sea, which tosses to and fro, reflecting the ups and downs we encounter in life. You'll notice some natural texture, dents, unevenness, which are part of the artwork's unique character, serving as a reflection of the “bumps”  we experience in life, which God in His love allows, all the while helping us to navigate through them.

This one has a little child-like touch to it. With sparkles of gold and sliver, like a midnight twinkling sky and a child who with joy and calmness, stops worrying and knows his / her father in Heaven will take care of everything!

May this artwork serve as a reminder of the Lord’s presence, love, providence and guidance in our lives!
